It contains general information on the building, energy class of the building, the issuer of the certificate, HVAC systems, climate, energy demands for reference and actual climatic data, explanations of technical terms and a list of applied regulations and standards, as well as the proposal of economically viable measures which can increase the energy efficiency of the facility.

The purpose of energy certification is the classification of the facility into one of the energy classes and to provide information to the owners and users of the facility on the building's energy performance, the efficiency of its energy systems and quality and characteristics of the shell of the building.
